How do you do?
AVEENO is finally in South Africa. I mentioned on Instagram that I had heard a lot about Aveeno from my bestie who used it in Canada. After I gave birth to my son 10 months ago and suspected mild eczema on him shortly after, I actually read a lot about Aveeno from other parents while searching for a solution, but immediately dismissed it because I was in South Africa!
About 2 weeks ago, Rubybox dropped me the Moisturizing Body Lotion in the mail. I was to try it out and let them know how it treated my skin. I started using it right away!
The main ingredient in this moisturizer is the colloidal oatmeal which according to Aveeno is ‘a rich mixture of ingredients found in oat seed’. These components have the ability to ‘seal and lock in moisture which helps to protect the skin’s moisture’.
This lotion is supposed to repair the health of dry skin in just one day. As crazy as this sounds, this was the case, especially with my boy LJ. I noticed an immediate difference on his cheeks in just hours. Two days later, his stubborn extremely dry cheeks were a goner. His skin felt smooth and looked healthy. I actually went on to purchase the moisturizer in the baby range but ended up preferring this particular one for his sensitive skin as it is fragrance-free.
Myself, I used this body lotion all over my body for about 2 weeks and also noticed a significant improvement on my legs which were a little drier than usual this winter. My skin is noticeably softer both in how it looks and feels.
I’m legit super stoked I gave Aveeno a go, especially for LJ’s cheeks. Yo, I was getting so frustrated for my honey! 😀 All this to say, I happily recommend Aveeno for dry skin 🙂
To my South Africa peeps, you can find Aveeno for yourself and baby at Clicks or Dischem **happy dance**
Have you tried Aveeno? How did you like it? Let me know in the comments.
